To build high-yield, organic kitchen gardens tailored to your specific corner of San Diego, so you can skip the trial and error and enjoy an abundant, year-round harvest.
Grow gardens that nourish families, and last for generations.
We started Grove Gardens because we believe the food you grow at home should be the best food you eat, not just the freshest, but the most honest. Every garden we design is an act of intention: for your family, for your soil, for the season ahead.
We believe the food you grow should be the purest thing your family eats. That standard leaves no room for synthetic chemicals or shortcuts, not in your soil, not on your plate, not anywhere on your property.
We believe a garden must be built specifically for the ground it sits on. We value exact soil data and local climate knowledge over one-size-fits-all solutions. Every decision we make is deliberate and grounded in the unique fingerprint of your yard.
We believe you should feel at home in your own garden, whether you want your hands in the soil every weekend or would rather someone else handle it entirely. We share what we know, we stay involved as much or as little as you like, and we make sure the garden thrives either way.
We believe a garden is an investment in the future, not a seasonal project. We value long-term thinking and sustainable practices that enrich the earth, ensuring your space produces beautifully, year after year.
I spent ten years working hands-on in the San Diego landscape industry, and I saw the same thing over and over: beautiful properties with incredible, untapped potential. I kept meeting homeowners who wanted more from their spaces. They wanted the peace and satisfaction of stepping outside to harvest their own organic food, like Queen of the Night heirloom tomatoes, but they simply did not know where to begin.
The information is out there, and much of it is excellent. What it cannot do is tell you which parts of it apply to you. Being told you are in Zone 10b tells you almost nothing here, where the difference between a coastal lot and an inland one changes what will fruit, when it will fruit, and whether it survives August at all. For a homeowner whose time is valuable, closing that gap alone means seasons of trial and error.
That gap is why I started Grove Gardens. We transform untapped potential into thriving kitchen gardens, combining strict organic practices with true, localized climate expertise to eliminate the guesswork. We handle the science and the soil, so you can simply step outside, find peace in your backyard, and enjoy harvests in every season.
Book ConsultationBefore a single plant is chosen, we visit your space, reading the soil, mapping the sun, and understanding the microclimate that makes your garden unlike any other in the city. No two San Diego gardens are the same, and your design shouldn't be either.
We build a custom planting plan around your soil conditions, your cooking habits, and the crops that perform best in your part of San Diego. No guesswork, no generic plant lists. Each recommendation is specific to your garden.
On installation day our team handles everything: raised beds, soil prep, irrigation, and the first full planting. We don't hand you a design and disappear. We stay involved through coaching visits and seasonal replanting so your garden keeps improving with every season.
A 45-minute discovery call is all it takes. We'll walk through your space, talk about what you want to grow, and give you a clear picture of what's possible.
